My brother recently got a 1998 Saab and needed t get the radio out to see the code to unlock it because they are typically written on the top of the radio. He had been trying to get the radio out for a few days and got a set from the local auto parts store as well. I ordered these, and within 10 minutes of giving them to him, he walked in the house, radio in hand.

Needed to pull the radio out of my ‘05 Ford Ranger to access the 4X4 command module which had stopped working. Some rocket scientist at Ford decided to move it from behind the passenger side kick panel where it would be easily accessible to behind the radio in the dash where its near impossible to get at.
Tried to make my own set of tools using an old hanger, no dice, the radio wouldn’t budge. Bought and used these and out popped the radio.
Was able to clean the connections on the 4X4 module and I have my 4X4 system back up and running in time for the second of some pretty big snow storms that hit NJ.

This product made installing a new cd-player in my car a SNAP. Without them it would have been next to impossible to get the old radio out. Well worth the money!

It is possible to remove a radio without this tool, but it took me ten times longer to get it done. It’s worth the five bucks to simply insert the tool into the face of the radio and pull the radio out whenever the task comes up.
