many of the songs i remember from my childhood (i.e. frera jacka, sur le ponte de avignon, etc.) with beautiful mature woman’s voice singing them. it is so easy for these things to go wrong, but this one dosen’t. it is exactly what i want when i ordered it. it arrived in good shape and quickly. thanks mike.

My two year old loves this cd. It’s one of her favorites. Although we dont know a word they are saying we sing the words in a sound alike fashion. We have fun with it. If I want her to stop whining or crying I just put on this cd. She wipes her tears and begins to relax. I think she was French in another life.

I bought this with the intention of exposing my kids to more foreign language. My 6yo (and especially my 3yo) love it and sing along. Mission accomplished. I’m also a musician, and did not find the quality of the performance and arrangements to be lacking either in interest or in skillful execution.
The overall style is sort of cabaret-like with all kinds of orchestral percussion and a sizeable band.
Very fun CD for children, and well worth the price.

Our family loves it, including 2 year old. We are trying to introduce her to french. It is THE GEM!

This CD is packed full of wonderful songs for children and adults will enjoy them also. Although I am older and learning French for the first time (brain food), I found these songs fairly easy to understand and some even familiar in the English version. Most kids will probably learn the songs rapidly. The singers are very good and leave a happy feeling in the heart. I would recommend this for those who are learning French (child or adult) as a tool for advancement of the language.
